Should I roll back to a previous version of FZ, or should I uninstall and manually delete the AppData folder, or. FileZilla is one of the more popular GUI-based FTP programs available in Linux. Oddly enough, with the symlink in the AppData folder, FZ will not write new sites to any file - meaning, I try to create a new site where there currently aren't any listed, enter info, hit OK, go right back in to SM, and there are no sites. These include secure FTP (SFTP) which combines FTP and SSH, FTP Secure. Here's what I've tried - 1) rename the symlink, open FileZilla, create a new site in sitemanager, close FZ, delete the new sitemanager.xml file, rename the symlink, re-open FZ, no success 2) Copy the file from Dropbox to the AppData folder, open FZ, it reads it just fine 3) Delete the symlink with FZ closed, create a new one, open FZ - no success 4) Uninstall/reboot/reinstall FZ - no success If you don’t want to use a password, you can simply use SSH private key with Filezilla to authenticate on a key basis. But most of them don’t have more idea of how to connect sftp using Filezilla. It has lots of features to use a remote server. The symlink 'linktofolder' behaves fine, it is followed fine and points toward folder The problem occurs with linktofile, which is handled as a folder. FileZilla is most popular FTP client used by users for connecting FTP server from local system. I've successfully been using this symlink for well over a year - it points to Dropbox so that my Windows 8 machines can share the same FTP credentials. However, Filezilla will display both links as 'folder with an arrow'. Basically, once the user is in /home/username in SFTP, that directory becomes / and references outside of /home/username are not. Do you see something like: Match group sftp ChrootDirectory /home/u AllowTcpForwarding no ForceCommand internal-sftp. This morning I updated to 3.9.0.1 (after being prompted), and FileZilla is not reading or recognizing (not sure which) my symlink to my sitemanager.xml file. Look in /etc/ssh/sshdconfig and examine the sftp directives.
